Hamilton's Concrete Washing & Restoration Specialists
Concrete is tough — but it's not immune to the abuse of Ontario winters, road salts, oil drips, rust bleed, and years of organic growth. Over time, what was once a clean, fresh surface becomes stained, discoloured, and unsafe. At Alpha Paving Solutions, we use commercial-grade hot water pressure washing systems, surface cleaners, and specialized chemical treatments to restore concrete to its best possible condition — safely and without damage to the surface or surrounding landscape.
Whether it's a residential driveway covered in tire marks and organic staining, a commercial parking lot with years of oil accumulation, or a patio with deep rust bleed from metal furniture — our crew has the equipment and expertise to handle it.
Concrete Sealing — Protect What You've Cleaned
After a professional wash and restoration, sealing your concrete is the smartest investment you can make. A penetrating or film-forming sealer locks out future moisture, oil, and staining — dramatically reducing maintenance needs and extending the life of your surface by years.
We apply commercial-grade acrylic or penetrating siloxane sealers that are invisible, non-slip when dry, UV-resistant, and compatible with all concrete types. We always start with a thorough pressure wash before applying sealer — a clean surface is the only way to get proper adhesion and lasting protection.
Sealing Exposed Aggregate & Stamped Concrete
Exposed aggregate and stamped concrete are decorative finishes that require a specific type of sealer to maintain their appearance and durability — a solvent-based acrylic sealer. Unlike water-based sealers, solvent-based products penetrate deeper into the porous surface, bond more aggressively with the concrete, and deliver a rich, wet-look shine that truly brings out the colour and texture of decorative finishes.
For exposed aggregate, the sealer locks every individual stone in place, prevents aggregate loss over time, and creates a protective barrier against freeze-thaw cycling, road salt, and UV degradation. For stamped concrete, it intensifies the colour depth of the pattern and protects against fading, peeling, and surface wear.
Why Solvent-Based Sealer?
- Deeper penetration into porous decorative concrete
- Rich wet-look finish — enhances stone and pattern colour
- Superior adhesion compared to water-based products
- Excellent UV resistance — prevents colour fade
- Locks aggregate in place — prevents stone loss
- Protects stamped pattern against delamination & peeling
- Recommended every 2–3 years for lasting results
Important: Solvent-based sealers must always be applied to a thoroughly clean and dry surface. We always pressure wash and allow full drying time before sealing — skipping this step leads to trapped moisture, white haze, and sealer failure.
Our Equipment & Methods
Consumer pressure washers from hardware stores operate at 1,500–2,000 PSI with cold water. Our commercial-grade equipment delivers 3,000–4,000 PSI with hot water up to 200°F — a combination that is exponentially more effective at dissolving grease, killing mould and bacteria at the root, and cleaning deeply embedded soils from porous concrete surfaces.
We also use flat-surface rotary cleaners — spinning dual-nozzle heads that clean in a consistent overlapping pattern with no streaks, no uneven lines, and no damage to the concrete surface. This is what separates a professional result from a DIY attempt.
